In 2005 five months interimship at the studio of the lighting designer Johannes Dinnebier in Wuppertal enabled me to assist in several projects.
Architects of the department store Alsterhaus am Jungfernstieg in Hamburg ordered lightboxes for the perfumery.
August 2004
DiaLux and AutoCad.
While constructing and planning the lightboxes we had to consider that, besides light effect and aesthetics, they were supposed to be maintained in an easy way.
A pin lock guaranteed easy access and maintenance of the tubes. The locks were mounted to the bottom of the lamps. The inner frame could be moved down in a railing system in order to change the tubes.
Besides the decoration effect of the boxes as a whole, the lower eight spots lights can be focused to lighten some accents to the displayed goods. The cardanic mounted spots could be moved in all directions.
According to my construction plans we finally manufactured eight of these boxes that were successfully installed in the department store Alsterhaus am Jungfernstieg.
